Monday in Early Education and Teaching was truly inspiring! We had the privilege of hosting a remarkable guest speaker, Pamela Titi, who is not only a parent of one of our early education students but also the founder and managing director of the Tunaweza Children’s Centre in Uganda.
Pamela’s visit was nothing short of eye-opening, as she passionately discussed her school’s mission to provide early intervention services for young children, particularly those with special needs. In Uganda, access to education can be limited, especially for children with unique challenges. As Pamela put it, “The schools are not like the schools here in the U.S. Not everyone goes to school, especially if a student has special needs.”
Tunaweza Children’s Centre is bridging this gap, and it’s heartwarming to witness the positive impact they’re making on young lives. They offer therapy services that these amazing children cannot access in traditional Ugandan schools, empowering them to thrive and grow to their fullest potential.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the tireless efforts of educators and parents like Pamela, who are shaping the future of these young minds. Education knows no bounds, and every child deserves a chance to shine!
