Professionals

We welcome professionals in special education, physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy, and related fields, who would like to volunteer their time at Tunaweza Children’s Centre or commit to a longer-term arrangement here in Kampala.

Volunteers bring a fresh perspective and a collaborative approach to the centre, and help us connect our families and their children with experienced professionals.

Students

We welcome students of special education, physical, occupational, and speech and language therapy, and related programs, to volunteer and observe under our professional staff. It’s a great opportunity for international and local students to learn more about their future profession and themselves, and to gain relevant work experience while living and working in Kampala.

Student volunteers also benefit the centre, bringing unique perspectives and experience of working with children with special needs.
